Terms of Service
Last updated: August 26, 2026
1. Acceptance
By using Relayless, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
Relayless provides browser-based messaging, username discovery, friend connections, file sharing, and voice or video calling. Features may change, be interrupted, or become unavailable without notice.
3. Accounts and usernames
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Do not impersonate another person, claim a misleading username, or share access to your account. We may remove usernames that are abusive, misleading, or infringe another person's rights.
4. User content
You keep ownership of content you send through Relayless. You grant the service and its infrastructure providers the limited permission needed to transmit, store, and display that content to your chosen recipients. Do not send content unless you have the right to share it.
5. Prohibited use
Do not use Relayless for unlawful activity, harassment, threats, fraud, malware, unauthorized access, spam, exploitation, or distribution of content that violates applicable law or another person's rights. Do not attempt to disrupt the service or evade security controls.
6. Messages, files, and calls
Messages and chat metadata may be stored by the configured Firebase services so conversation history can work. Attachments may be stored by the configured storage provider. WebRTC calls and direct file transfers depend on browser permissions, network conditions, and third-party signaling infrastructure. Do not assume communications are completely private, anonymous, permanent, or encrypted end-to-end unless the application explicitly states so.
7. Third-party services
Relayless uses services including Firebase, PeerJS, WebRTC, and content delivery networks. Their own terms and privacy policies may also apply. We are not responsible for outages or changes made by third-party providers.
8. No warranty
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, delivery, data retention, compatibility, or fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Relayless and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-data damages arising from use of the service.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms and may suspend or terminate access for misuse, legal requirements, security reasons, or service changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
11. Contact
For questions about these terms, contact the project owner through the repository associated with this GitHub Pages site.
